Patterns of Rain

It was Len who pointed this out to me. We had thought the heavy rain overnight had moved east but a very heavy rain shower caught Len and Basil while they were out walking at the bottom of Beacon Hill. I had retreated to the café to enjoy a ginger beer.

We had stopped by on the way home from Dobbies where we'd gone to enjoy our monthly lattes and ham, eggs and chips.

Len's ancient blue coat had protected him from the rain but Basil was soaked. Not that that seemed to bother him much. He was quite frisky.

Once home, another heavy shower passed over and Len noticed the patterns on the conservatory ceiling caused by reflections of the rain swirling around on the roof. Plus, the sun was out again.
