Second Place

Meet Jack...he was sitting by the front door of the Senior Centre when I went in for my Qigong class today.


I asked him what he was holding...he proudly told me that when the Olympics were on, he pulled out his high jump ribbon from 1957 for the Provincial meet at Empire Stadium .


He said we did the western roll back then..and landed in sand..not nice mats like they have today. 


He said he was most impressed by the Women's high jump event....the winner from Ukraine placed first..and her team mate came third. He said they were very good and the winner broke both the Olympic and world records.


And...he said they were..'quite cute'...which I quickly agreed with him..haha
