Do Not Move the Ancient Boundary Stone

The Bible often speaks about respecting the past and honoring traditions. In Proverbs 22:28, it says, "Do not move the ancient boundary stone set up by your ancestors." This desk was in the house I grew up in. It’s one of the first pieces of furniture that stood out to my young self. Today it sits prominently in our northern home. It’s been refinished, a make over that didn’t tarnish any of the original beauty. 

My wife and I I have downsized quite a bit in the last few years, but we’ve held on to three separate pieces of our past. Three reminders of where we came from, and the people we love so deeply.
