An alphabet of cake
Finally managed to make some paper dolls with C this morning. Every time we read Julia Donaldson's Paper Dolls I suggest we should make some but it's always at bedtime and then I've forgotten by the morning. C had a lovely time giving each of them faces and outfits and when J got home from school they spent ages playing ring a ring a roses with them. They had lots of fun but the paper dolls are no longer holding hands. Think that bothered me more than C though!
This evening I had my first experience of the Clandestine Cake Club. The theme for the evening was A to Zee, so from apple, apricot and almond through to Zebra cake and plenty inbetween (not quite 26 though, which is probably a good thing, particularly for those that felt the need to try them all!) The venue for the evening was a local health club, wasn't feeling very healthy when I left there tonight!
A lovely evening with some very nice cake (the Toffee Apple cake blipped was particularly good,) and a chance to chat to old friends and make some new ones, with some bizarre coincidences in that it's a small world kind of way.
Don't think I want to eat any more cake for a while.
