New Season!

The workings of FC Barcelona are a little obscure but after 14 years on the waiting list for a seat (paying my dues every year!), I was offered a one-off deal for this season to attend every home match in the Olympic Stadium (Camp Nou being renovated) for €238 which is a pretty good deal in isolation. An English Premier league season ticket could easily cost between 2 and 3 thousand pounds, or more.

Barca won 2-1, btw.

I love watching live football and the atmosphere was well worth the trip up the Montjuic hill. The last time I was inside the stadium was for the final night of athletics in the 1992 Olympics when Carl Lewis led the US 4x100m team to a world record!!

You can see the ‘flame’ bowl which was ignited by the famous flying arrow to open the Games!
