Perky Poppies

Biking on the Leelanau Trail my cycling buddy spotted this field of poppies. We climbed down an embankment to snap photos. Since this time (this is a 'back-blip'), I've noticed the poppies have dried up and one would not even know they were there so I consider myself very fortunate to have seen them in their prime.
