Lovely lilac flowers. They may have a papery, fragile, appearance but they have withstood the summer winds at St Andrews rather well.

We’d a late morning walk around part of the University sports and science campus. Two rugby teams were having a preseason away day, training separately. We know both teams. In conversation we learned one was heading for a dook in the sea and then a BBQ after their session.
