GIN TRIP DAY 1
no way I could blip and party so catching up!!!
Clair came to collect me at 12 for our drive down to a secret destination to celebrate her birthday. We have booked her a treat but she has no idea what…yoga, indoor sky diving, bungee jumping..she’s nervous :))))
Linda arrived at the holiday house a little earlier so I went in to prepare the birthday afternoon tea but when she went in the house was not cleaned. She sent me photos of unmade beds and wet towels everywhere. As I’d already had difficulty obtaining the code for the holiday home, I was worrying about what I had booked. L text me continually on the journey asking me to drive slower as cleaners had suddenly arrived. She prepared cream tea in chaos and even invited the two lovely Polish cleaners to join us. They didn’t.
We arrived at 3…the actual time we should have gone in.
#L was waiting! This is the back entrance through our bedroom. The house is perfect for us…a downstairs apartment a small but ideal lounge/kitchen/dining room.
#L had made a cake and fresh sandwiches. (For hers I just bought them shop made!!)
# it all went down so well with a glass of Prosecco. cheers
Then I found out the local theatre; The Haymarket, was putting on a good play and there were £15 tickets. So I booked 3 for tomorrow’s matinee. Whilst checking the walking route I discovered I’d booked The Theatre Royal at Haymarket in LONDON (45 miles away…but only 10 from my house!!)
PANIC…luckily with a quick phone call and a plea I got the money back. Instead, with lots of double checking I booked the local cinema!
The phrase of the day was…port thing she has been ill!!!!
