G's flight scheduled to arrive at 8:30 meant my morning could be like a work morning, except I woke and got ready earlier. It was fascinating to watch a Live 3D video of the aircraft circling. The detail of the desert and settlements on FlightRadar 24, as the plane came in to land was incredible.

For the first time in years, I did the whole thing of driving to the airport, parking up at Arrivals and waiting in the Terminal. I got a picture of G as she came out. It was great to see her after four and a half weeks. She was thrilled to be back in the flat, which of course, looked spotless!

She didn't get much sleep during her overnight flight, so the day was unhurried. We met with Diane to do our usual Friday thing at the Sol Sky Bar. I'm sure there were more heavy-laden dhows than I've seen in months.
