Miombo
A very long but very positive day, meeting with partners operating in the same area of northern Mozambique. We had to set off from Lichinga at daybreak to drive to Sanga District, a remote corner of Niassa Province, where multiple conservation initiatives are being implemented.
It was grounding to be back in the vast miombo woodland ecosystem, and very productive to be exchanging plans and ideas with a group of like-minded peers. We committed to some tighter collaboration to make best use of our collective resources. Some new connections made, existing relationships reinforced, and everyone seemed satisfied.
We crawled back into Lichinga at night, very tired, but reflecting on a day well spent.
