It has all gone pear-shaped!

I had huge hopes for great weather and a summer of sailing this year; The boat was looking well a month ago and the weather is doing its stuff. Then.... the fungus struck - masses of mushrooms sprouted from the wooden parts of the boat, namely the deck and the main bulkhead. Fortunately the hull is fibre-glass. Tears for a couple of days but now there is a job to do. I'll do much of the work myself with professional support on the trickier bits. Actually, that will be quite a bit ;>)
We got a crane lift back into the boatyard last week and I have removed everything detachable. The deck comes off tomorrow. The target is to be back in the water by the autumn. Winter sailing can be fun... if the sun is shining!
