RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You can see that we won’t be doing anything outside today because it’s raining “cats and dogs” and has been for most of the night - Mr.  HCB thinks we are getting the tail end of Storm Lilian and he’s glad he decided NOT to go to cricket today.

Mind you, yesterday was a bit hairy, because Mr. HCB forgot to take his phone, so Mrs. HCB had to ring the ground, get him called over the tannoy, which he said was a tad embarrassing, and asked them to let Mr. HCB know Mrs. HCB’s number - because she knew he wouldn't remember it -  if you can follow that!  He rang a bit later from reception to say he had got the message, but we know he would have been annoyed because not only does he go and watch cricket, but he also checks the scores for other matches and of course, it was a Test Match yesterday - what a silly Billy he was!

Mrs. HCB was very busy all day yesterday, and cleared out not only HER wardrobe, but also Mr. HCB’s, so there are lots of old clothes to go to the DEBRA charity shop next week.  That meant that she was very tired, so was in bed before 10 o’clock last night and would you believe, she didn’t get up until almost 10 o’clock this morning!  It’s all right for some, but we know she did work hard and in the process, disturbed a lot of dust, so was sneezing all evening!

I guess today we had better find a game to play because it doesn’t look as if the rain is going to stop for a while - we would sing the song, Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come again another day - but we know that the HCBs want it to be dry on Monday, so we won’t sing - and anyway, most of us aren’t very good at singing and it would make Admirer giggle if she could hear us.

Just remember what we always tell you - BE KIND - because you never know what someone else is going through - they might put on a brave face and smile, but that doesn’t mean they are OK and you being kind might be just what they need!
