Do, do, do the funky Bittern!

Well it has been a fabulous day today. The weather was beautiful and almost perfect on the east coast. After a lovely lunch in Southwold, headed to Minsmere to introduce my friend to this special place. And Minsmere came up trumps!

Arrived in the Bittern Hide to see Bittern stood in the open (others already in the hide had not noticed it!!) For the next 3 hours it kept appearing regularly and at one point did a wonderful 'dance'. What a treat.

We then headed to the sea and cooled down hot feet with a paddle before enjoying some great aerial displays by dozens Martins and Swallows over the reedbeds and a little troop of juvenile Bearded Tits - will add a link to (bad) photos later.
