Jennings

I was over at Cockermouth this morning, and decided to photograph this old advertising hoarding for Jennings Brewery. I've no idea how it originally came to be on the wall of this house, but as Jennings Brewery is no more (It was sold a couple of years ago) I thought I ought to record this before someone decides to paint over it.

I've passed this site for the past 25 years and never previously photographed it - and I'm just putting together a talk which includes a part on "Don't put off photographing something - it might not be there next time you go past"

Update: just checked, this sign and two others in Cockermouth have been added to a national register by historic England
