PICKELWEED

Storm Lilian paid a visit through the night -  and this morning  - bringing strong winds and rain but this afternoon it was dry, sunny and quite warm.  I found my blip shot in the cat enclosure,  I have a small " pond " there... its just a plastic tub filled with water and containing a couple of aquatic plants. This flower appeared on one of the plants recently.  My plant identification app suggests its a Pickelweed.Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday. 

I had a Yodel parcel to collect.  Usually I would have collected it from the convenience store in the village but they have stopped being an agent for Yodel ( they were never very efficient at it anyway ).  So my nearest shop was the Costcutter in Dunston  - a bus ride away. I went there this afternoon.  After collecting my parcel I walked along to the Aldi to do some shopping.  Stocked up on fruit and salmon mostly.  

Got a bus home straight away.  One of Becky and Neils old primary school teachers was on the same bus - he lives quite near me.  He also taught  my nephew Gary and niece Sharon so I mentioned that I had seen them last night.  He's always interested in his ex pupils.
