This morning the town's strimming team were out strimming the edges of pavement with their petrol strimmers. Later on they were there with their petrol dirt blowers. Everywhere stank of two-stroke fuel, and to be honest it would have been quicker to use a brush than the dirt blower....

Anyhow some people chalk signs on hollyhocks and other plants growing in the cracks that they want to keep, but oddly enough the council's minions left this flower alone even though it had no marking and I was able to blip it on my way home after lunch at my mother-in-law's.

Back blip.

I can confirm that the weeds have all re-grown and you wouldn't know a month later that the council had strimmed anything. This little plant is still hanging on though.
