Emerging Dahlia

This week the morning has most certainly been the best time for a walk. I've had Keta here since Sunday and we have managed a dry walk every morning. The heavy rains of afternoon and evening have caused plenty of flooding and a very fast flowing river.

If the dahlias in Pollok hadn't been staked the huge blooms would be lying on the earth. This one has yet to open out into a magnificent deep pink flower.
