It was all about
the river and fishing this
morning - before sun!

I was up in the dark, texting and emailing, before I took my leave at 6. The sky was clear with just a touch of smoke to give it some colour. I headed off to Highway 5 across the river to make the turn onto Shuswap Road. I love this drive along the South Thompson River.

I decided I'd drive as far as the LeFarge Bridge, then turn around so the sun would be at my back when it appeared. However, I got sidetracked on my route.

I stopped to find two eagles on their perch overlooking the river. I stopped again down the road to get a view of the bridge and some activity on the river.

There was a boat anchored midstream with two men already busy with their fishing lines. On each shore, a fisherman was set up close to the river. A small flock of common merganzer ducks paddled along the river's edge.

I made my turn before the bridge and started back towards the city. The pair of eagles were right where I'd left them. I drove near, got a shot of the two, then they soared off over the river. I got a shot of the houses along the south side of the river.

I was back home with my breakfast in time for the 7 AM news. I have office work this morning, then I need to go find a new cell phone and laptop for the office. I love spending money!!
