Ferries play a crucial role in travel along the island and fjord filled Norwegian coastline. This is the ferry that passes us three times a day connecting Senja with Andenes during the summer months. In a few weeks the ferry will cease for the winter. Above the bow of the ferry you can just see one of the pens used to farm salmon in the fjord.
