Loch Ness Waves

This is Loch Ness at Lochend on a windy day. So windy that our booking for early this morning was cancelled. BB spoke to a couple of helpful people and we rebooked on the 4 pm sailing. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, that booking was cancelled and we ended up on the beach at Lochend.

The waves looked like the sea except they were crashing ashore every few seconds.  I suppose that the length of the loch (23 miles) allows the wind to build up the waves more than on most lakes. The photo doesn't do the waves justice, and we were all glad we were on land rather than on-board.
