Health Walk

Back to normal Thursday business.
First a large shop for cafe and then starting to sort the kitchen.
Then the Health Walk with a good turnout and some drama - one of the walkers felt dizzy and unable to move to the nearest seat, but couldn't/wouldn't sit on the ground so was held up until a seat could be fetched. An ambulance was called to assess him which caused a bit more drama that I can't go into here, but he was recovering after 5mins seated. Once he was in the capable hands of the paramedics and his wife had been contacted we returned for our cuppas.
I just had time for mine before going off to cafe and was glad that I had as we were non-stop for 90mins. People keep coming earlier and earlier and expect to be served first but we can only cook so much at a time! They all got what they ordered except 1 man who had to do without an egg in his Lorne roll as we'd run out - that was a 1st.
We were also short-staffed so the clearing up took a bit longer but I did get home in time to have a cuppa in the garden and watch some cycling.
I also had a short run, a good way to unwind, and have been doing work on Sunday's service this evening.
Another meeting tomorrow but then it should be quieter - I hope.
