Ship to Shore

So, Margery next door invited me to go with her to the annual "Holiday at Home" day hosted by what is called the Anna Chaplaincy, run by a group of local churches. Anna because (as I learnt) was chosen for its echoes of Anna, the widow and faithful older person who, together with Simeon, recognised the baby Jesus as the Messiah and the fulfilment of God’s promises.

Anyway, I promised I would go to keep Margery company and I was the youngest person there by quite a margin. It was gentle fun with a lovely lunch and I had a hand massage which was also lovely. there was also 30 minutes of "chair aerobics". The day was titled ship to shore with (unfortunately i missed) someone giving a talk about sailing and cruises and suchlike.
