stormy weather
It was very windy last night - through our open bedroom window, I could hear the trees swishing about, and gusts blew the door shut. There was a lot of rain.
By morning, the wind had dropped and the skies were beginning to clear. I had a dry walk and did some gardening this afternoon. No chance of mowing the soggy lawn, though. My blip shows the Cairn Water rushing along under the bridge at Stepford.
Tonight I harvested half of the Lion's mane mushrooms, cut them into "steaks", added a little tandoori seasoning and fried them. D was a bit discombobulated because they looked so much like meat. They had quite a chewy texture and were tasty :-)
We had blackberry and apple crumble afterwards.
Now we await Storm Lilian
