Wader Mix

Very windy on the Bay of Birsay today. Lots of small waders- at least 100 sanderling, the main bird in the photo, with dunlin, ringed plover, turnstone ( the 'tortoiseshell bird) and a few knot, one in the shot toward the top of the group. Cycling round the Peedie Sea in Kirkwall later I saw another 3 knot, 2 in extra.
