Rust

Aged with the rain and sea spray these posts look well worn, but their aging is on the surface only.  Below the peeling paint and surface rust they are as strong as ever. I think I am too, maybe a bit creaky in the joints and peeling on the surface, but strong underneath it all.  Mind you, the rain and grey skies don't help the mood.  The railings are lucky, they might look old, but they don't have feelings (do they?).
