I'm not an ugly duckling....

... but I am a yellow duckling!

I walked along the river again this afternoon to let the dogs have a swim and I noticed this little family on the opposite side of the river - again too far for my camera to get a really clear focus. However I am sure you can see that amongst the brood is a very yellow duckling - at first I thought it was a yellow leaf moving along the river and then realised it was actually a duckling. Has anyone ever seen a mixed brood like this before ? - I suspect it is a throw back to a time when a mallard mated with a tame duck unless there are any other suggestions.
