A year ago I was in Bangladesh, very worrying to read about the unrest there after the war crimes verdict. As I was saying in an e-mail to a civil servant working for the Scottish Government's International Development Team today, no matter how rude the two sides may be to each other in our ongoing independence debate, at least that's as far as it will go.
