Back garden
Thank you everyone for the hearts and stars and kind comments yesterday! I was amazed! If you get the chance to have a go, do. It's great fun.
A wonderful sunny morning today. I gave up all thoughts of inside jobs and spent it in the garden. Mike's path is finished and it's lovely. I'm going to plant some tiny alpines between some of the planks and hope nature seeds some of her own in too. It's a joy to walk on after having gravel down for so long. Lottie's little paws are much happier on this too. Which was the main consideration, along with the aesthetics.
I managed to get nearly half the tatties lifted and then the rain started, as forecast. This is the first year for ages that I've grown them, as they take up so much space. I planted 10 and this is the crop from four of them, so I'm happy. We can't get new potatoes in the village, so these new ones will be real treat. Used Granda's tattie fork to lift them, although it is horrendously heavy!
