Lighthouse

Our wedding anniversary today.  We drove over to Braunton again, and went for a really lovely (if tiring!) walk through Braunton Burrows and onto Saunton Sands.  It was so beautiful in the sand dunes; such an abundance of wildflowers (which I somehow failed to really get any photos of).  And beautiful on the beach, too.  I liked these ruins of an old lighthouse.

Came home and had a bit of a rest, then made a couple of dishes (cous cous salad and pesto pasta), ready for my friend Katherine and  coming over in the afternoon.  They arrived about 4pm - so lovely to see them again :)  We had a cuppa, and a lot of chat, then had some dinner, too, before they had to set off for home (Oxfordshire) in the evening.  I was so touched they'd come all this way - they had been in Plymouth for the weekend beforehand, then come here 'on the way home.'
