Active day
Quick morning walk with the dogs, then onto mantrailing for Keely. She did 2 amazing trails. The first she had a decoy on the trail, but she quickly discounted them and got back on the trail and found the correct person.
The second trail was a walking trail (the trail layer instead of being hidden is slowly walking away) Keely has done this twice before and struggled to connect the walking person with the scent she is following, so I wasn't expecting much today but she proved me wrong. She took the scent from a glove, followed the trail and then went up to the trail layer and touched her hand and stood Infront of her. I was so impressed.
We stopped for another longer walk on the way home, then after dropping the dogs off at home I decided to go for a run. I haven't run for over 2 months for various reasons but felt if I didn't start back now it would only get more difficult. Was going to do the short route from home, but after a slow accent of the hill it felt easier along the flat so I carried on. Managed just over 3 miles (5km) with jog/walk up hills, it was slow but it's a start.
This herd of Shetland ponies were very friendly and came up to say hello, one let me rub it's nose, quite useful as a car came along and it decided to follow me for another stroke and got out of the road (which the driver thanked me for)
