Fun and colourful statutes of the hedgehog (Igel) and hare (Hase) can be found throughout the town of Buxtehude. This town is the place where the fable of the Hase & Igel is based. This story by the Brothers Grimm has the equivalent in English, where it is known as The Hare and The Tortoise.
