(Not So) Common Blue
We're not getting many butterflies at all this year but as the electrician was finishing off outside this morning I noticed this tiny common blue, one of my favourites, on the lavender. I was thinking she was a bit late this year but checking back through my blips I've logged an annual appearance on days from 16 July to 30 Aug, so this year is fairly typical.
After grabbing my camera she had disappeared from the lavender but I found her resting on a feather on the lawn (first pic) then she moved back to the lavender (second pic). She looks a bit worse for wear.
Apart from making a few executive decisions regarding where to put sockets and switches it's been a mainly admin day, lots of camera club stuff to sort out.
Update: forgot to say I defrosted the freezer too!
