James and the prize sticks
James wanted a closer look at the stick his mum helped her Papa (my dad) made. The other sticks there are the prize-winning ones he didn’t give away or sell.
The film night went well. They (surprisingly) chose “Inside Out 2” a Disney cartoon about a girl going through puberty. It got a bit grim in places so I told the boys not to worry as it probably wouldn’t be that bad for boys. James said “No, they just get drunk”.
James was also saying “We have Auntie Vicky, (#1 daughter) Auntie Carrie (#3 daughter) and then we have Antisocial, that’s my mum when she wants to finish a chapter of her book”.
It’s warm this morning so the boys played in the woods then we went Wallington after Mr C got his B12 injection. It was SO COLD there. They played in the big trees then after the picnic and ice cream (clotted cream and honeycomb is the current favourite) we all thought we’d prefer to get warmed up at home. (The boys had no coats with them).
Mr C has taken them back as Thomas has rugby at 5. I’m going to have to think about what clothes I’ll need for the icy north as we leave on Saturday. We’ll be too remote for WiFi so I’ll be forced to do 2 weeks back blipping.
