MY WOODEN HOUSES
Glad I went out yesterday, the weather here not so great today, mid you it hasn't really rained yet, just cool, grey and very blowy.
The re-painting of the outside of the house continues. They are doing a stirling job and have adapted according to the weather. The balcony's rendering is off was re-rendered by yesterday to give it a better chance to dry out.
I received a text from our surgery inviting me to a Health Check-Up. Apparently it's a Government incentive for anyone from the age of 40 to 74. Obviously it wasn't in force when I was younger and now that I'm 70 I won't get another one - but I can request one if I feel I need to.
All is as expected so far, just need to wait for the results of the blood test (eeeekkk yes, I had a blood test). The Nurse was so good about my needle phobia but I did it. I've somehow lost height - I'm now 5 ft 1.5 inches - I've lost an inch somewhere along the way. Now If only I could lost about 6 inches in other areas that would be terrific!!!!!
These wee houses are souvenirs from my many trips to the Alps some years ago. They are smoking houses, which means you put a cone inside, put a match to it, put the house back on the plinth and smoke comes out of the chimney - nicely scented smoke. However I never do that as I prefer to keep them in good order as they remind me so much of our fabulous holidays.
That's all fro me for today. Do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
