Sgwarnog: In the Field

Many thanks to everyone for the kind wishes on yesterday’s 5000th blip; time to deploy my gold camera and move to 5001.

This first summer Herring Gull was parading the platform at Rhyl as we waited for the first of the trains to take 16yo and myself home. From home, to home as I always say. Home is where I’m from, but also where I live, and for most of my life those have been different places.

Brother #2 had kindly given us a lift to the station. Once aboard we then got stuck outside Chester for 20 minutes, enough to miss a planned connection in Manchester, so we decamped to the Chester-Bradford train instead, and were home by tea time.

Later, I headed over to Guiseley for some football, with Blyth Spartans the visitors for a Northern Premier League fixture. A second consecutive 0-0 for me (I will be scouring the records to see if that’s happened before)  but it was quite an entertaining game.
