Evening sunshine

It's been another gusty day, with occasional bits of rain - particularly annoying when we were concreting a post in by the pond.

But as we sat down to our dinner I noticed that the gladioli were looking particularly good in the evening sunshine.

I spent a significant part of the day being a domestic goddess.  Our cleaner has broken her ankle, so any cleaning is our job at the moment.  I sent Rocky round the bedroom - the first time in a while that we've vacuumed under the beds, resulting in a good crop of dust and fluff!  Meanwhile I dusted - dealing with a good sprinkling of cobwebs, and dealt with another pile of clean dry washing that needed to be sorted and folded.

I then realised that we had never connected Rocky to the WiFi here, so spent some time organising that, and downloading the app.  And whilst doing that, also connected my new phone to our robot mower.

And I made sure the spare bedroom was ready for the arrival of a guest later this week.

Tomorrow I'm going out in the morning, but will have to spend the afternoon doing more domestic stuff downstairs - the spiders are running wild!
