Sunny Intervals

My Blip is taken from the top.of the cloudy dunes just after high tide, looking north towards a sunnier place.  We did end the afternoon with beautiful sunshine, which made up for the rain showers we had had.

My extra is with a question. We walked through Burghead to the Well, and onto the site of the Pictish Fort, and I noticed the date above this house. It says JR.1894 and I was intrigued by the JR. Google has not helped me, so I wondered if it would be the home owner's initials.  Any ideas will be gratefully received.
