Night Butterfly

Simon the Sweep came this for his annual visit this morning, then Mark and I went off to Edinburgh for an appointment.

My friend Liz gave me several dahlia plants in the Spring.  I have been nurturing them ( including protecting them from the local cats who seem to like creating runs through their bed).  This is the latest one to come into flower.  I love it.
