Ashness Bridge

We are staying at Ashness Farm for a few nights. I camped here 50 years ago on a Sea Rangers/venture Scouts holiday.

I have written before that that holiday changed my life. I fell in love with the Lake District then and it is a love that endures. Totally.

After probably the best cooked breakfast I have eaten, we walked up to Watendlath. Rain held off in the main and we returned on the road.

Brilliant day.
