Twitter

I was an early twitter user, those days seem a world away. I barely use it now as it's a place full of negativity, unlike wonderfully positive blip.

I posted this as I make my way to Newcastle for a couple of days.

Ian McMillan, the poet from Barnsley, and I still regularly exchange messages. We met in those early days on Twitter, and he's still a wonderful tweeter. His morning stroll notes, poems, observations are amazing, and free.

When we did actually meet, for the first of a fair few encounters,  he greeted me with 'Ah, DB!' such was the way twitter was in those days. 

He'll repost this at some stage today but feels like it will be less tweets today from Ian as Noah or Isla come to stay with grandad. Steve, the postman, is his son in law, twitter did that, linked you all up...

Anyway, I'm north of York now and soon the lady with the big wide open arms will welcome me to Gateshead, and then The Toon.
