Paperbark
I don’t usually photograph bark, but paperbarks and scribbly gums are an exception. In central Australia I learnt that the bark and leaves have traditional medicinal and culinary uses, the trees themselves are a source of water if you’re lost (and have a machete) and the bark is not edible. A neatly-trimmed square of it appeared as a garnish one night.
