Monday: Babbington Leek

Very windy all day, rain arrived at lunchtime and continued for rest of the day, early evening now the wind has strengthened and the rain is still with us :-(

It was because of the weather that I decided to cut the “seed head” of the Babbington Leek, not wanting the little bulbils to get separated from the stem until they are ready for planting

I had a routine doctor’s appointment this morning and all would seem well, phew!

Spoke with our T this afternoon who’s in charge of little R who has an upset tummy, they were both in good humour and were having a lazy afternoon :-))))

Decided it was time to use up last year’s Bramley cooking apples which I’d just peeled, chopped and frozen added to a container of wild blackberries, just a little sugar and boiled up - instant compote! Maybe I can tempt MrD with some tomorrow :-)
