Departure

Despite having a long day and late night yesterday, I felt like a walk this morning and thought I had better head out early to miss the forecasted rain. I arrived at the reservoir around 08.20 and had a lovely, peaceful walk in calm conditions. The Rosebay Willow Herb is taller than me in places and bees were arriving and departing regularly. Back home I did a bit of gardening before it startled to drizzle around 11.30 followed by an afternoon of heavy rain, and it’s cold, feels like winter already. The wedding couple were so lucky yesterday to have a dry day with even a bit of warm sunshine for their photographs.
