Mind the Gap

I took the tube to South Woodford this afternoon for an appointment with my audiologist.

I made the appointment because my hearing aid moulds were really starting to hurt, especially in my right ear, in which I have most hearing loss. My audiologist said I hadn’t been inserting the moulds correctly and they had been rubbing and creating a sore place at the entrance to the ear canal. Now I have to go without wearing my aids for two weeks to enable the ears to heal, then I’m going back for an in depth lesson in correctly inserting them. (You have to feel sorry for Smithers, who has been instructed to speak very clearly and precisely in the meantime!)

I took a photo of a tube train on the other track on the outward journey, but after it had gone I noticed some items that I thought might make a good blip, and made a mental note to try and photograph them on my way back. So in extras you can see some structures which have been erected by the Bee Friendly Trust, which are surrounded by bee-friendly plants, including hebes.
