Airbus factory, Hawarden.

Not much opportunity to snap today! Here is a quick shot of Hawarden Airport, in North Wales )you often see Hawarden mentioned on national weather reports - its about 3 miles from Chester as the crow flies.

The Airbus site is huge - and old!! Previous history includes the Wellington Bomber - including one made in one day!! In the seventies and eighties primarily the Hawker Siddley 125 private jet - but now its all wings for the Airbus family - including the double decker A380. The wings of this are too big to be flown out, so are floated down the River Dee to a waiting transporter!! Will try and get some photos of that in the coming weeks....
