a lifetime burning

Autumnal

The suggestion from the weather forecast that we might have some early sunshine and mist turned out to be misleading.  In practice dawn saw the Somerset Levels clouded in gloom that occasionally turned to light drizzle, and by 10am I decided to call it a day and drove home.  That said, I did have quite an enjoyable wander around the marshes and came back with various shots and sightings. I did see a kingfisher twice, but unfortunately it was in the air on both occasions and heading away at speed. So instead, here is a rather more prosaic long tailed tit in flight.
