Demoiselle Damselfly (Calopteryx virgo) in flight

When this damselfly fluttered past at speed I was surprised that its wings weren’t translucent. I immediately wondered what it actually was. A few minutes later it appeared again and I quickly attempted to follow its rapid flight and was pleased when it flew past this concrete wall. I've added an 'Extra' which shows a slightly different view of the flight and its expressive shadow.

I’ve now searched for it and believe it must be a Demoiselle Damselfy (Calopteryx virgo). I had to rather over process the image to bring out the dark colours, so their particular tones might not be accurate. But it is a beautiful creature and a first for me.
