Trees in Fairmilehead Park

A cloudy day. The sun promises to break through the clouds at times, but doesn't quite make it. Very dull on the initial daunder around the park. Kids football at the weekly viewpoint means I have to return around midday to get the weekly blip of the trees in the park. The brightest part of the day. I am surprised that some trees are starting to show autumn colours.

After lunch, a trip down to Morningside to get weekend groceries. Midday brightness still around. Traffic is quite light, so a pleasant walk.

No afternoon walk. A residents' association BBQ to attend from 4pm. The road will also be closed to vehicles, no parking. Partner has made a nice pasta salad. The cloud has returned, but threatened rain doesn't make an appearance, only a slight shower at 6pm. Nice to catch up with neighbours. It is nice to see the kids able to run around on the road without having to watch out for vehicles. It goes on far later than anyone expects it to do. Clearing up doesn't start until 10:30pm.

Quite tired when I get home, so have a cup of coffee and watch the last episode of The Jetty on the BBC before heading to bed.
