Hill Top

I've lived in the Lake District now for more than 6 years and have never visited Beatrix Potter's famous house, Hill Top where she wrote her stories.   Until today.  My visitors had booked a visit so I tagged along.   In my view the NT could have made more of her history while she owned the house as well as concentrating on the books.  She was the first woman president of the Herdwick Sheep Breeders Association which I found much more interesting than Peter Rabbit and Mrs Tiggywinkles.
