Monty and Tashi
It sounds like a very posh Sunday afternoon tea party but our guests were two geriatric canines who slept most of the time they were here. The pug was the perfect host and made sure he sniffed them both equally.
Meanwhile, I rescued our bronze honey cake and sampled some with a delicious honeyed Fettercairn. It was delicious.
When Osh and Mrs S dropped the guests back home I made the wee man’s dinner for the next few days. Which he, naturally, wanted to consume in one go when he returned.
It did my heart good to see how well the annual flower and baking show was attended. Lots of families and folk all mingling and having a good time. We will try again next year. And maybe even enter the potato competition. I saw the golden potato trophy that Gordon won at the inaugural event and want it on the mantle piece.
